The Amazing Spider-Man 2 swings onto iOS, Google Play

Gameloft has announced the launch of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 mobile game on iOS and Android devices. Announced in March 2014, the open-world adventure game sees players stepping into the suit of the web-slinger to save New York City from Electro. The game is an expansion of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 film, which hits theaters in the US next month.
In The Amazing Spider-Man 2 mobile game, players complete almost 100 story missions and can battle six boss characters as they explore multiple locations throughout New York City, from Times Square to Central Park. In addition to Electro, players will encounter other villains, including Venom and Kraven the Hunter.
As players explore New York City, they'll get around using web-slinging, wall climbing and web shooting. The game's "beat-em-up" combat is achieved via various button combos, which see Spider-Man twisting and flipping through the air to defeat a variety of thugs.
Outside of the story missions, players can complete social events, like taking on waves of enemies in Mysterio's Arena.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is available to download for $4.99 on iOS and Google Play. The game is coming soon to Windows Phone.
