Kabam partners with Wil Wheaton for Dragons of Atlantis content
Mobile game company Kabam has announced a partnership with entertainment personality Wil Wheaton, which sees the actor, writer and blogger making an appearance in Kabam's popular mobile game, Dragons of Atlantis: Heirs of the Dragon. The partnership sees "Advisor Wheaton" helping players through a new in-game campaign, which is only available for a limited time.
This in-game event is available for players worldwide until April 28. The campaign features weekly tweets and personal video messages from Wheaton, and introduces players to some of the many gameplay elements available in Heirs of the Dragon.
"Ever since I first played Civilization way back on my Mac II, I've loved strategy games and Dragons of Atlantis: Heirs of the Dragon is awesome. I've always been direct and honest with people who read my blog and follow me on social networks, and I can honestly say that I think people will really like this game," said Wheaton.
"This quest I worked with Kabam to put together is really cool, too, and a great way for new players to discover some of the fun things Dragons of Atlantis has to offer. For those who are trying it for the first time, and for those who are already veteran Lords or Ladies of Atlantis, we have some super cool in-game prizes for everyone who plays with Advisor Wheaton. Did I mention you get to raise a dragon and train it to rain down fiery death on your sworn enemies? Because you do, and it's awesome!"
Heirs of the Dragon launched on mobile in August 2013, and allows players to raise a 3D army of dragons while working to rebuild the lost world of Atlantis. The game is available to download for free on Google Play and iOS.
