Clash Of Clans: Clan Wars Cheats And Tips

Clash of Clans: Clan Wars arrived and most of you are already playing it. For those of you who aren't playing or have no idea what Clan Wars is about, we'll give you a few tips to get started. Prepare your defenses, protect your loot and ready your clan. Clan Wars have begun!

What is a Clan War?

A strategic battle between two clans. A Clan War consists of two phases, the preparation day and the battle day. Each Clan War participant can attack twice during the battle day. At the end of the war, the clan that earns the most stars from attacking wins the Clan War.

How do I start a Clan War?

Leaders and co-leaders are the only members in a clan that can take their clan to war. Start a Clan War by opening the Clan War screen and pressing the "Start War" button. This will start the search for an opponent clan, and you'll be able to see the size of the clan you are being matched against (e.g. 25 vs 25). The Clan War will start immediately after an opponent clan has been found. If you join the Clan after this point, you will become a spectator and will not be able to actively participate in the Clan War.
Finding an opponent clan can take several minutes, but there is no need to wait in the Clan Wars screen. Close the screen with the red "X" button and you will be notified when an opposing clan has been found.

What is a War Base in Clan Wars?

War Base is your home on the war map. It's a parallel world created specifically for Clan Wars. The War Base isn't the village. The War Base represents your home in the war map, and the village is your home in the normal game. For example, your village does not get locked during battle day, but your War Base does. You do not donate troops to friendly villages during preparation day, you donate troops to friendly War Bases. You do not defeat enemy villages in Clan Wars, but you defeat enemy War Bases.
You're free to leave your Clan during a War. Your War Base will remain visible on the war map even if you leave, so leaving a clan will not affect an ongoing war. Keep in mind that your War Base is not your village, and as such, all your resources, trophies and even a Shield are not affected by a Clan War.

How are clans matched for a Clan War?

Clan Wars matchmaking is based on the strength of their clan members. Hero levels are the same or close to member levels within your clan to keep things competitive. Town Hall levels follow the same protocol for Clan War matchmaking. Unlike multiplayer battles, trophies have no influence in determining your Clan Wars opponent. After an opposing clan is found, the war immediately starts. There's no "nexting" (scrolling through various clans to battle) in Clan Wars matchmaking.

Whats new in the most recent update?

War Base layout and War Base Edit Mode enables you to keep you War Base layout different from your regular village layout. No need to update your village layout for Clan Wars anymore. War Base Edit Mode is available on the Clan War map during preparation day only. Layouts are still locked during battle day.
Clan Wars tracks stat improvements. The all new War Stats tab shows lots of new cool war statistics, including most heroic victory and most heroic defense which are available for view via replays. See information about total war attacks, defenses and war stars won per member in improved Clan War clan info pages.
Some Clan Wars feature improvements included the dismissal of donated troops from your War Base Clan Castle if they don't meet your standards. War notifications have been improved and bases are now numbered on the war map for easier reference.
