SEGA announces Super Monkey Ball Bounce for iOS, Android
SEGA has today announced the development of the next mobile game in the Super Monkey Ball franchise, Super Monkey Ball Bounce, which introduces new kinds of gameplay to the franchise. The brand's beloved primate characters are back for a new experience, as they're challenged with stopping the evil plans of Professor Boscis, before it's too late.
In Super Monkey Ball Bounce, players will complete over 120 levels in a setup inspired by the Japanese arcade game pachinko (or PopCap's Peggle, for a mainstream comparison). Users will shoot one of seven playable monkey characters towards the bottom of the screen, earning points as the ball bounces off of pegs and other obstacles.
Each of the game's characters has his or her own special abilities, and the game is set to offer a gradually increasing level of challenge as players clear stages. Users can rely on both luck and trick shots to complete levels with AiAi, MeeMee, Baby, GonGon and other famous friends from the franchise.
Super Monkey Ball Bounce is set for release on iOS and Google Play this summer.
