Kobojo's Facebook hit Mutants: Genetic Gladiators launches on mobile
Social and mobile game developer Kobojo has announced the launch of Mutants: Genetic Gladiators on iOS and Android devices. The game was released on Facebook in 2013, and has been played by nearly 6 million players. In Mutants: Genetic Gladiators, players take on the role of a Psy Captain, challenged with controlling a group of minions, training and breeding them to discover new abilities and species, and then taking them into combat.
Mutants: Genetic Gladiators offers more than 100 unique mutants for collection, with six different mutant genes to breed together to form additional combinations. That is, mutants come in large overall groups, like zombies or robots. Each gene has a strength and weakness, and players must take these into account when assigning mutants for each 3-on-3 battle.
Players will battle across four tournament divisions, from Detroit Rock City to Chernobyl, and will become stronger as they experiment to create the best mutant gladiator(s) possible.
"After the success that Mutants: Genetic Gladiators has experienced on the PC, we are thrilled to be able to expand on that by providing iOS and Android gamers with the same fun and immersive mid-core gaming experience," said Mario Rizzo, CEO of Kobojo.
"With the mobile-specific user interface, menu system, and other improvements made to optimize the game for the mobile touch platforms, players will enjoy the all of the same rich monster breed and battling action that PC fans have come to expect from the series."
Mutants: Genetic Gladiators is available to download for free on iOS, Google Play and the Amazon App Store.
