The World Ends With You Shows Up in the Google Play Store

The World Ends With You. No, it's not a song/album title (even though it really should be). No, it's not a movie title (sounds like a Tom Cruise movie). And no, I'm not predicting the end of the world. It is an action RPG game from the likes of Square Enix that is highly rated and has its own personal charm. It has been on the iOS Appstore for two years now and suddenly, lo and behold, there it is on the Google Play Store for all Android users. No big announcement was made, no hoohaa. It just one day appeared at the right time at the right place.
In the game, you control Neku, who was brought in to beat up countless monsters in a gauntlet that spans seven hellish days. During that seven days, you not only lay the smackdown on wandering enemies, you also make some friends along the way, level up, collect badges and uncover an underlying overarching reason you were brought there besides to have fun. Any game with an underlying overarching mystery is good in my books, because at least I know that the developers have given it a lot of thought and went above it to create more depth.

Anyway, there you have it, The World Ends With You drops the "Solo Remix" from the iOS title and pops up in the Google Play Store. Honestly, I haven't picked the game up. It's price is making me think more than usual whether the game is worth the coin. However, if you don't mind, you can get it on the Google Play Store here for $17.99.
Cheers!
