After a successful launch on iPad earlier this year, Disruptor Beam has announced the launch of Game of Thrones Ascent on iPhone and Android devices. The game has also been updated, offering "more content than ever before," as users jump into the world of Westeros, and work either with or against each other in a persistent world.
In Game of Thrones Ascent, users step into the shoes of a noble, and can complete thousands of quests that dive into the lore of the original literary world of George R.R. Martin. The game offers content that follows along with the HBO television series, with everything impacting a player's reputation among their chosen Great House.
Players can focus on not only building an army of fighters and spies, but can also experience social and diplomatic gameplay with marriages, pacts and more. The game is updated on a weekly basis, with new content already announced for release later this year.
For example, a new Crafting System update will see players given better chances to craft powerful items, including dragon eggs. Meanwhile, alliance-vs-alliance world events will see gamers working together to bring victory to their entire group. Alliances can complete boss challenges, with events lasting for weeks at a time, and eventually involving all players in the game. Finally, additional storylines will be added to the game, even after the end of Season 4 of the television show.

"While we have more than 4 million players across the existing web and iPad versions of Game of Thrones Ascent, we know there are still many people who prefer to play games on their iPhone or Android phones and tablets," said Jon Radoff, CEO and founder of Disruptor Beam. "We're thrilled to now extend the game to an even wider audience!  We've re-designed the user interface so that players can now enjoy the same great gameplay that they've seen online, but on these new devices."
Game of Thrones Ascent was originally released online in 2013  and was named a "Staff Favorite" by Facebook in the site's 2013's Games of the Year awards. The game is now available to download for free on iOS and Google Play.
