Timberman Cheats And Tips

Timberman is sure to be the next great mobile addiction for "twitch" gaming fans, as it has the kind of simplistic, yet addictive, gameplay that will draw players in. You play a lumberjack who chops away at a never-ending tree within an allotted time limit, while avoiding branches that come down with each chop you take at said tree. Get hit by any of the branches or run out of time, and your wood-chopping days are over.
Need help getting into your lumber career? We've got some tips that will keep you from having an axe to grind.

How do you play Timberman?

It's actually quite easy. You tap on the left hand of the screen to have your lumberjack chop from the left side, and tap on the right hand of the screen to chop on the right side. You'll need to alternate as you make progress on cutting down the tree, since branches are coming down and can crush your lumberjack flat if he comes into contact with them. Never mind how a tiny branch can crush a rather large guy like that...
Anyway, the thing you'll want to get used to at first is timing. Branches are usually about two chops away from hitting your lumberjack, so once you see them starting to bear down on the top of his head, move to the alternate side. At first, it'll be easy since the timer is a little less brutal. Later on, though, you'll need to rely on "twitch" skills to move back and forth. Don't be surprised if you die a few times - the same thing happened to us.

Can I track my progress in Timberman against friends?

Yep, the game features online leaderboards, so you can keep track of your progress alongside fellow players. There are some real chop-heavy fanatics out there, though, so it may take a few tries in order for you to even come close to cracking the top numbers. Just keep at it.

What's the best way to avoid branches in Timberman?

As described above, the best thing you can do is keep moving around. If you see branches coming from one side, get out of the way, even if it takes an extra second to adjust. Then, when branches come from the other direction, move back around. It's easy to accidentally step into a branch and lose your turn - with a "twitch" game like this, mistakes happen quite a bit - but you'll eventually get the hang of it and start racking up scores. Practice makes perfect!

Do I need to pay for anything in Timberman?

There is a Gold edition available for $.99 where everything is automatically unlocked for you, including various Timberman skins including a hockey player skin and others. However, you can progress with ease through the free version and, once you're good enough, unlock everything. The choice is certainly yours, however.
