Glu's Hercules: The Official Game launches on iOS, Android
Glu Mobile has announced the launch of Hercules: The Official Game on iOS and Android devices. The game is based on the upcoming Hercules theatrical film, set to hit theaters on July 25, 2014.
In Hercules: The Official Game, players complete battles against a variety of enemies, using their reflexes and swiping / tapping controls to perform combos and special attacks. In each battle, players are told to defend and swipe on the screen in specific directions, represented by pale arrows on the screen, in order for their hero to draw his shield.
When the enemy's attack period is over, players rapidly swipe on the screen in any direction to attack. Each attack builds the character's rage meter, with the rage power-up being activated with a single tap. This mini-game sees players following more swipe prompts on the screen to perform massive damage to the enemy.
Outside of battle, players can upgrade their hero with new weapons, upgraded health and stamina stats and more. Players will unlock additional heroes as they play, making battles more complicated over time. Finally, the Fighting Pit allows gamers to test their skills against friends and other players around the world.

Hercules: The Official Game is available to download for free on iOS and Google Play.
