It can be a little confusing at first (even with the opening game walkthrough), but don't go cursing fire everywhere. We've got a few tips that will certainly help you out.
How do I play Dragons World?
It's a matter of first growing and taking care of your dragons, then having them head over to other islands to do battle with their creatures in order to earn possible gifts that you can use to expand your realm and acquire even more dragons. In a way, it kind of works like Tamagotchi, as you'll pick up, breed and feed dragons, eventually making them stronger and leveling them up. The stronger they become, the more abilities you can unlock for them, and the better they'll fare in battle.
There are various steps to follow, starting with placing them into a particular realm and incubation (which you can speed up with a few gems), and then feeding and eventually leveling them up. From there, you'll have the option to do so with several dragons, then enter into the Dragon League, where you can partake in arena battles with online players.
What's the best way to get food for your dragons in Dragons World?
In your realm, you'll have the ability to build new things. The first thing you'll want to do is invest in green houses. With these, more food will be grown, which in turn can be fed to your dragon. Leaving them hungry isn't a good idea, as they won't level up nearly as quickly as they will being fed.Go with three small green houses at first, and plant food that can be accepted across all breed. Blackberries are a good way to go, as are pumpkins. Try to diversify food in each green house, and eventually, you'll level up and be able to buy a larger one, which can house even more food types.
It takes a certain amount of food (depending on the size of the dragon and its appetite) to keep them fed, so it helps to have plenty of it on hand to keep them growing. This is a vital part of the game, so make sure to stay on this task as often as you can.
How do I earn perks in Dragons World?
As you feed your dragon and eventually level up, you'll be able to choose perks. These usually come with every third level, so expect perks between level three, level six and so on. You can choose between two perks, depending on what your wanted skill is.For instance, with the opening perk, you can choose between expanding your gold (in which you can build more stuff with), or pick up the dragon's breeding speed, allowing it to level up quicker. It's not an easy choice, as both of these options provide benefits. However, we went with the breeding speed, which paid off in the long run in creating a healthy dragon. The choice is yours, though, so see what each perk does for you.
How does battling work in Dragons World?
The first thing you'll want to do is make sure your dragon is leveled up properly. Don't even think about entering an arena until they hit level four. Once you're there, head over and be sure to learn a thing or two about your special skills. You'll be using these over the course of each battle, and depending on what you're going up against, they could be quite crucial. The battle system counteracts depending on elements. For instance, fire can do damage against air-based dragons, but will have a tougher time against water-based ones. When you enter battles, try to have an array of choices of dragons, see what you're up against and pit the best creature that naturally provides more damage towards said dragon. You'll start with an Earth dragon, so keep it around to teach nature-based dragons a thing or two.
Mix and match during your battles. While it's great to see a particular dragon excel, you have so many resources available once you've grown more than one. Enter different ones in the arena and skill them up. Who knows? You just might have a power league in its own right!
Do I need to pay for anything in Dragons World?
You'll earn a fair share of crystals with missions provided throughout the game, and you can grow food by following the green house steps we previously explained. However, if you want to train dragons quicker, you can buy food and gems directly through the store, as well as special cross-breeds of dragons. These range in price anywhere from $0.99 to $24.99, so shop carefully before you plunk down your cash. Chances are you can create a powerful legion of dragons without having to drop a cent.
