Callys Caves 2 Cheats And Tips

Fans of eight and 16-bit platformers will get a kick out of the entertaining yet challenging Callys Caves 2 from Jordan Pearson. In this side-scrolling adventure, you contend with enemies while using a sword and gun (with twenty different ones available). The end goal is to rescue your parents from the clutches of Dr. Herbert - a task that's easier said than done.
The game can be a little tough, but don't worry, as we have some tips to help you out.

How do I play Callys Caves 2?

Cally is armed with a random weapon found throughout the game, including a shotgun, assault rifle, flamethrower and more. These weapons are randomly given to her throughout her adventure, and while you won't need to worry about ammo, keep in mind that some enemies will take a lot of shots before going down. Try to take them out from a distance, or that's the end of poor Cally.
The sword is useful for up-close melee attacks, but it has a limited range. Your best bet is to use it as a last resort, should an enemy get too close. It can also be used towards larger enemies, but make sure you avoid their striking distance.
Finally, Cally can double (and eventually triple) jump, and right from the early going, you'll need to master this ability, not only to collect gems that are out of reach, but also make it safely over water and spike pits, which will spell certain demise for our cute little heroine.

How do I unlock new weapons in Callys Caves 2?

Weapons are unlocked at random over the course of the game, although you can swap out for an alternate weapon if you don't think it's working that well. The longer you use a weapon and the more gems you collect, the quicker it'll level up, increasing its damage capacity when fired at by enemies. The shotgun is your best bet, as it has great range and a spread fire that can hit baddies above and below, including bats hanging from the ceiling.

How do upgrades work in Callys Caves 2?

As you continue using your weapon in the game, it'll level up, and gain strength. These range in quality, but the shotgun is easily one of your best bets with its range and firing capabilities. The boomerang is excellent as well, as it hits enemies from front and behind, and you can throw multiple ones as once.
As far as the sword is concerned, you can upgrade it in the shop using in-game cash, which you earn by defeating enemies within the game. The more enemies you defeat, the quicker you can upgrade your equipment.

Any advice for jumping in Callys Caves 2?

Yes, try to time your first jump just when you're coming off the tip of a ledge. This may require some practice, but you'll be able to get speed and distance out of it, and clear the tough gaps by hitting the second jump while you're in the air. Again, just keep plugging away at it, and you'll master it in no time. Once you purchase the third jump capability, these will become much easier.

Do I need to pay for anything in Callys Caves 2?

There is an optional $1 purchase that provides you with more powerful poison bullets, as well as more gems to collect and the removal of certain ads. By itself, however, you'll get a lot of play time out of Callys Caves 2 without dropping a penny, although you can add more funds if you're bored. Try it out first.
