Modern Combat 5 Release Date Revealed!

The slew of first person shooter games launching in the last five years have honestly made the genre a little bland to me. So forgive me if I don't find this news particularly exciting. However I do know of many friends who still play Battlefield, Call of Duty, Crysis, etc, and many of you who are contributing to the high demand of these games. So it is with great pleasure that Gameloft has finally revealed the release date of its latest first person shooter, Modern Combat 5: Blackout, set to launch on Android and Apple  on July 24, 2014.
Modern Combat, as you might have suspected, is a ripoff of COD Modern Warfare. By now, Gameloft is a pro at producing top quality clones of popular console/PC games on mobile devices. So even though you probably won't see anything done differently than other FPS in the market now, you could still enjoy yourself for a good chunk of your time. The graphics look excellent in preview screenshots and will feature both single player and multiplayer modes. Unfortunately, this game requires an internet connection to play either modes.
As expected, an exaggerated war story is told through numerous shooting of enemies in the face and outrageously beautiful cutscenes. I suspect a lot of the features and weapons from its predecessors will make a return and might be improved as well.

For more information on the game, stay tuned. We will be sure to keep you updated on any news leading up to the release on 24 July 2014. We will also probably have a review up not long after it's released, unless a kind developer sends a review copy over. Cheers!
