We all know the dozens of Clash of Clans clones on the Play Store. But I never expected an officially licensed Star Wars Clash of Clans clone.
LucasArts and Disney have teamed up to soft-launch Star Wars: Commander in Australia for iOS. The game is not available anywhere else, or on any other devices yet. Star Wars: Commander is a free-to-play strategy game that places you in the middle of the Galactic Civil War in the Star Wars universe. You can side with either the Rebellion or the Empire.
You will have to build bases for recruiting and training troops and fortifying them with equipment like shields, turrets and artillery. You can also be attacked by other players, just like in Clash of Clans. You're able to call on iconic units like AT-ATs and Tie Fighters as the Empire, or Han Solo and Princess Leia on the Rebellion side. You' can also even travel across familiar locations seen in the Star Wars movies.
The game is expected to be released worldwide this summer on Android.
