TwoDots Cheats And Tips

Simple puzzle games are usually the most addictive, mainly because of their pick-up-and-play nature. Betaworks One's TwoDots definitely fits into this category, as you'll connect dots on a grid in the hopes of meeting specific goals scattered across each level. With plenty of play tactics on hand - and a couple of power-ups available for the taking - this is sure to be a mobile hit.
If you're having trouble making a connection, though, don't worry. We have tips to get you started!

How do I play TwoDots?

The goal of the game is to connect together strands of dots, either horizontally, vertically or in squares. You receive a pre-set goal at the start of each stage with a number of colored dots that need to be collected in a certain amount of moves. It's up to you how you want to connect them, but the idea is to set up long strands that make it easier to reach your goal without sacrificing all your lives.
The key in some of these stages is to connect some dots that aren't on your manifesto to get them out of the way. By doing this, you allow more of the color you need to drop down onto the grid, thus creating the opportunity to meet your goal. Otherwise, if you connect bits and pieces on the top, you'll end up losing one of your five lives, and either need to wait for it to refill or pay a small fee.
The earlier levels are easy enough, but later levels will require concentration with more specific goals and less moves. Remember to keep your connection tactics in mind, so you can get through them with ease.

Why should I connect squares in TwoDots?

By connecting four dots together in a square, you'll be able to eliminate all the similarly colored dots on the playfield. This is an extraordinary tactic, if only because the eliminated pieces count on your dot quota for the requirements. So, if you need to get 20 dots and you eliminate a square with four of them, the rest will stack up as well.
Try to create squares as often as you can. Not only will they relieve you of extra dots that get in your way, but they'll also help you get closer to your goals.

How do power-ups work in TwoDots?

There are two general power-ups available - a five moves power-up and a bomb. The five moves, as the name implies, adds an additional five moves to your current level, so you'll have a better opportunity to finish it. The first one's free, but you'll have to pay to use it at other times.
The bomb enables you to eliminate certain dots on a board if you're having trouble clearing the way. Just tap where you want it to go and watch the sparks fly. Again, you'll get the first one free, then need to pay from there.

How do I compete with friends in TwoDots?

Leaderboard support is free in the game. All you need to do is sign up via your Facebook account and pass around high scores after you complete a level. The closer you get to a three-star score, the better you'll be at overall competition.
Again, remember the connection tactics, make squares and try to save some turns for the end, as they'll help you earn additional points and gain the advantage on your buddies.

Do I need to pay for anything in TwoDots?

The game is free-to-play, though there are some Microtransactions available if you get stuck. You can either wait 20 something minutes for each used life to refill, or pay $0.99 for a quick fill-up. In addition, power-ups can be purchased for $0.99 per use, if you wish.
Try and master the basics of the game first before you make any purchases. You'll be rewarded better in the long run, and save a few bucks in the process.
