InnoGames brings Forge of Empires to iPad

Hamburg, Germany-based InnoGames has announced the launch of Forge of Empires on iPad devices. First released on browsers, and aimed at core players, the strategy game offers cross-platform play for keeping up with progress on the go, wherever a player has internet access.

Forge of Empires allow players to create a city and lead it through the ages, from the Stone Age to the modern era and beyond. Players engage with new technologies, which each offer new kinds of buildings and goods for collection and management.
As users build up their own supplies, they can exchange goods and trade with neighbors, or seize control of additional lands through might. That is, players can take over new sectors using either negotiation or battle tactics, depending on their play-style.
This iPad release has been optimized for touch screen controls and offers multi-touch gesture options. The game's graphics have also been reworked to take advantage of the platform's retina displays.
To celebrate the launch of the game on iPad, InnoGames is giving away 10 iPads to fans on the Forge of Empires Facebook fan page.
Forge of Empires is available to download for free on iPad, with an Android version of the game currently planned. Since launch on browser, the game has climbed to over 15 million registered users, and is playable in 23 languages.
