2K announces Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution 2 for mobile
2K has today announced Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution 2, a premium title in development for both iOS and Android devices. The game is the first Civilization title to be developed exclusively for mobile, and will feature new gameplay that capitalizes on the "mobile technology advancements" that have occurred since the original Civilization Revolution launched more than five years ago.
The game will feature 16 historical leaders, including classic franchise characters like Abraham Lincoln and Napoleon, as well as new characters including John F. Kennedy and Winston Churchill. In each game, players will start at the "dawn of man" and build their civilization to the modern era, going head-to-head with other countries in a race for worldwide dominance.
Players will be able to focus on military prowess, diplomatic relations and technological advancements, depending on their play style.
Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution 2 will come to iOS devices on July 2. A release date for Android hasn't been announced. Check back soon for more.
