Best iPhone And iPad Games That Would Make Great Movies

Both the iPad and iPhone are home to tremendous games. In fact, some of them are so good that they deserve to make the jump to the silver screen.
Granted, the thought of these becoming movies is a little easier in theory than practice, especially when it comes to finding a quality screenwriter to handle the material. Still, if any iPad/iPhone games deserve to be made into movies, it's these five.

Infinity Blade Series (Chair Entertainment)

Chair Entertainment put together one of the most memorable trilogies in mobile history with the Infinity Blade games. The raw nature of fighting massive enemies in one-on-one combat would translate well to the big screen, especially with a strong leading man in the main role. Of course, a woman can also get the job done. Angelina Jolie is free right now, isn't she?

Plague Inc. (Miniclip)

While not everyone would consider Plague Inc. a "feel good" film, there's no question that the premise would be interesting enough to make for a compelling thriller. In fact, the filmmakers could even take it from the infector's point of view, getting inside his or her head as to why they would want to infect the world - and if they would provide any glimmer of hope for it. Hey, if 28 Days Later can work, so can Plague Inc.

Punch Quest (Rocketcat)

That's right, we said it - a Punch Quest movie would be nothing short of awesome. However, it'd be best if the filmmakers kept it firmly tongue-in-cheek, instead of trying to create some fake role-playing adventure around it. Maybe cast Bruce Campbell as the lead punch guy and get his old Evil Dead buddy Sam Raimi to direct it, and you'd have a punching movie for the ages.

Republique (Camouflaj)

One of the most intricate, breathtaking mobile experiences you can download right now, Republique has the sort of cinematic style that would translate to movie theaters. The story focuses on Hope, a mysterious woman trapped inside of an oppressive city, trying to fight her way out through five thrilling episodes. One thing's for sure - it'd be a lot more fun to watch than Divergent.

FTL: Faster Than Light (Subset Games)

A space simulation game that would be a blockbuster movie hit? Why not? Studios enjoy making tense dramas, and the sheer velocity of what FTL: Faster Than Light has to offer would fit in quite naturally. Watching a commander hang on to his or her sanity while keeping their ship in one piece would certainly make for some tense situations. Throw in some awesome CG space effects and you have a potential hit.

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft (Blizzard Entertainment)

Considering that a new World of Warcraft movie will make its way to theaters in 2016, Hearthstone deserves its own little spin-off. Sure, it's a card game, but its tactics and wide variety of characters could easily make their way to movie land, complete with tons of story twists and Easter eggs that gamers everywhere would certainly appreciate. Plus, you can play Hearthstone on your iPad while waiting for the movie to start.
