Dragons: Rise of Berk - How To Get More Wood

When it comes to general resources in Dragons: Rise Of Berk, there are two resources that will help you build the town, Fish & Wood. You gather these resources using your dragons. This guide will help you choose the best Dragons for gathering resources.
You'll need wood if you want to complete any sort of building or resource upgrades on the island of Berk. You mainly get wood by removing trees with the help of Vikings, upgrading your Sawmill and using dragons that collect larger amounts of wood per hour. Upgrading the Meade Hall will allow you to increase your capacity for Vikings to assist in the wood gathering. You can also earn extra wood through expanding to other islands (with more vikings).

Choosing the Best Dragon for the Job

Identifying the best Dragon for the job comes down to their level, specialty and the yield per hour for wood. One of the first Dragons you get is Fishlegs' Dragon, Cronkle. Primarily used for collecting wood, Cronkle is a slow but hard worker yielding 3,300 logs per an hour. As you unlock more Dragons from your visits to other islands, you'll have a larger variety to choose from. Unlocking the Terrible Terror dragon from Meathead Islands, who is smaller but faster, has two specialties, wood and fish that yields 3,100 logs per an hour. Terrible Terror is the best choice, allowing you to collect more wood during a shorter period of time.
As your Dragons level up, your wood resource yields will change with each level. Upgrading dragons will increase yields and unlock new specialties. Knowing each dragon's specialties, yield amounts and speed will help you grow the town of Berk even faster.
