Avid players may have to pay a few bucks for the more powerful cards, but casual fans will certainly enjoy the general pace this game provides. Plus, comic book fans will love it.

Injustice: Gods Among Us (WB Games, free-to-play)
Even though it's set up differently than the console versions, Injustice: Gods Among Us is a highly entertaining brawler that mobile fans won't get enough of. Featuring a number of heroes and villains from the DC Universe - including office favorite Batman - Injustice also comes with various power-ups to unlock, as well as strong touch-screen controls and a solid presentation. Easily one of the best Lego games around, DC Super Heroes is an adventure for players of all ages, where the Dark Knight, along with a number of his Justice League cohorts, attempt to save Gotham City from a terrible fate at the hands of the Joker and Lex Luthor. With colorful visuals, user-friendly gameplay and hours' of beat-em-up and puzzle-solving fun, this one's worth the money.

Uncanny X-Men: Days of Future Past (GlitchSoft, $2.99)
With the Days of Future Past film doing remarkable business in theaters, GlitchSoft found the right opportunity to unleash its X-Men-licensed game to market. In this side-scrolling adventure, you'll play as Wolverine, Cyclops and other characters as you attempt to fight back against the Sentinel resistance, getting your hands on every new power-up you can fathom. If you're an old-school comic fan, you need this game, bub.

Batman: Arkham Origins (WB Games, free-to-play)
Like Injustice before it, Batman: Arkham Origins features a slick fighting system that you'll want to take advantage of, since you're facing off against a rogues' gallery of villains throughout. This includes the vile assassin Deathstroke, the nearly invincible Killer Croc and other ne'er-do-wells who want to end the Dark Knight's criminal bashing ways. Fat chance of that, as you also have a number of great tools you can use in each battle. Best of all, it's free-to-play, and won't gouge your wallet too badly.

Finally, the heroic wall-crawler has seen his fair share of great games over the years, but when it comes to accessibility, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 takes the cake. With beautiful 3D visuals that bring city environments to life, along with solid controls for the web swinging and brawling, Amazing Spider-Man 2 flourishes. In addition, the countless missions available will leave you playing for hours at a time.
