Speed Racing Ultimate Review

 

I have always love racing games, I may not be a big fan of them, but they do hold a special place in my gaming heart. And they are some good racing games out there in the mobile market, but Speed Racing Ultimate fall into the good racing game category? Let us find out, so please read on fellow games.
Since this is a racing game, and I am sure that you know that you objective is to get to the finish line before the other divers do. So when you first start, the game does not waste any time and brings you right into the race. But there is a tutorial at the menu screen. Now just before the race starts it tells you that on the right side of the screen is the accelerator, and the left side of the screen is the drift. Then after a few seconds the race begins.
Now I am not going to lie to you but the game does look great, almost good as the other racing games that are in the Google Play Store such as Real Racing or Asphalt 8, and the drifting mechanics, work like the game Ridge Racer, the tracks to also look good. But unfortunately that's how good the game is going to get. Because after a few seconds of racing down the track the game just loses its speed.

Like I have mentioned this is a racing game, it looks like a racing game, somewhat sounds like a racing game, but it does not FEEL like a racing game. After a few second of racing down the track, you no longer hear you engine, the sound just disappears, even if you mute the game's music, the only sound effects you hear, is the sound of thump, when you hit another car, that's it. As for the race itself it feels like you racing in "slow-mo" throughout the race. In the bottom-middle of the screen you can see your "speedometer" and it shows just how fast you are going, it shows that you are going passed 180 MPH, but it feel and looks like everything is in slow motion. Even when you buy another car that is faster, it still feels slow. The controls in this game are just awful, the steering mechanics is just an absolute nightmare.
There are other cars to buy at the shop, if you do manage to collect enough money, but even collecting money is a hard feat. There are dollar signs that are on the track which act as you currency. And if you do want to buy a new car, most cars are expensive, the cheapest is $100,000.
I really wanted to enjoy this game, but the it has too many flaws and seems that this game was released as a demo. Even if this game is free it is not worth the download to your Android device. There are other great racing games, and Speed Racing Ultimate is not one of them.
