What happens when you take a puzzle-shooter and take, on what seems to look like Megaman? You get a game that is developed by COLOPL Inc., the same developers that brought to you Kuma the Bear, bring to you Nightbird Trigger X. So please read on fellow gamers.
You play as an anti-hero, trying to get past the global security network. You are trapped behind the walls of the network, and with you trusty laser cannon must use perfect timing, to destroy the diamond core of each room, of the security system in order for you to move on, though the objective may seem easy, you will have to study the systems' pattern of neon light that is shielding the diamond core from incoming fire, and you have to keep your eyes on the clock too.
Believe it or not the gameplay is very simple and straightforward. Pretty much every room that you enter is set up the same way. On the left side of the screen your character will stand, and in the middle of the screen there is a swarm of squares that will move around the screen, and you will have to study the shapes patterns so that you can get a clear shot to hit the diamond core, that is located at the right side of room, and when you do successfully shoot down the core, you will progress onto the next room. Aside from the swarm of squares you will have different types of machines, particles, and other obstacles you will get in your way from shooting down the core.
The games graphics are smooth and solid, and the main character reminds me of Megaman, with a cool looking laser cannon and a red scarves that he barrowed from Strider. The developers really took the time to work on the game's visuals. I wish that I could say the same for the game's soundtrack, the game's soundtrack is not impressive, nor is it memorable at all. Now like most Android puzzle games the levels start off easy, and as you do progress further into the game it does get harder, but it does add a great challenge factor to the game.
My BIGGEST complaints I do have with the game are the prices of in-apps, they are so expensive, why? and my other complaint is why do I need to sign up three of my friends to move on to the next world? again, why? I wanted to play game, not to sell a product. When are developers ever going to learn that gamers do not like expensive in-apps, that is a big NO.
Aside from the complaints that I have about the game, Nightbird Trigger X is a nice game, the concept is great and the visuals look fantastic . It does a great combination of bring a puzzle, and shoot game together. Nightbird Trigger X is free at the Google
