Hunger Games: Catching Fire Panem Run Review

Now if you are a huge fan of the Hunger Games movies, then you have probably seen its sequel The Hunger Games: Catching Fire during the weekend. Well last Friday (along with the worldwide release of Microsoft's Xbox One) a game was also released for Android devices. The game is Hunger Games: Catching Fire Panem Run. Please read on fellow gamers.
Now when you first start the game you will be given the choice to choose if you would like to play as a male ( Peeta Mellark) or female (Katniss Everdeen) it doesn't matter whom you choose, because both characters play the same, then you will go through a small tutorial, that tells you how to play the game. (Now I am sure that most of us know how to play an endless runner games hey if you played one then you played them all, so I find that maybe some game should have an optional tutorial, rather than being part of the game)
So lets get this out of the way, Catching Fire Panem Run is, well you guessed it an endless runner game, but believe it or not it is an actually pretty decent game to play. So just like other endless runner games that are out there this one pretty much plays just like any other runner games that you have played ex. Temple Run, and Subway Surfers. The basic controls are the same jump over, slide under, and dodge obstacles. Collect coins but in this game you are collecting flame icons, which act as the game's currency, and use power ups to help you get further.

Now during you run you will go though archery round, the player will have targets that will appear randomly on the screen, and armed with you bow and arrow will have to shoot them down, to shot them down simply tap the target on your screen, and for every successful target you shoot down will award you points. The bonus round is very similar to the game Brave, and that too is an endless runner game. And just like the game Subway Surfers, you can compete with other people from around the world or with your Facebook friends to see who can achieve the highest score.
The game's graphics look decent, and the game does sound great too, but I found that sometimes the controls can be unresponsive, now how many times have I tried to jump, slide, or dodge an obstacle, and instead of the controls responding I just run into the obstacle. Now I am not sure if this happens to everyone or just me, but I hate when you get far and the controls are not responding, just so frustrating. This would have a great game to play if it have more responsive controls.

I would have loved to enjoy playing this game a whole lot more if it wasn't for the poor sensitivity controls, but besides that it is a pretty decent game, I love the fact that you can compete with others for the leaderboard's top spot. If you would like to compete, then head on to the Google Play Store and download this game for free.
