The Good
Where do we begin? How about the fantastic new gameplay element where you can transform into a mural? This adds a great new dimension to the traditional puzzle and exploration elements of Zelda, and those classic dungeons are better than ever too.
There are plenty of secrets to be found in the game as well, and you'll have fun seeking them out thanks to a superb map system you can access at any time. Although not quite as detailed as, say, Ocarina of Time, the graphics are outstanding nevertheless, and the huge game world contains some neat lighting effects. When it comes to the sound and music, have no doubt that A Link Between Worlds is vintage Zelda.
The Bad
Aside from the odd brain-wracking puzzle, and having to deal with Ravio's occasional annoyances, there's very little that's wrong with this game. It really is that good
The Verdict
Even put up against the likes of Animal Crossing and Pokémon X & Y , The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is easily the best 3DS game of 2013. It's quite simply a work of art that deserves to be part of your private collection.
