Killer Bean Unleashed Review

After looking at the long list of free game at the Google Play Store, I came upon a game titled Killer Bean Unleashed, now when you find a game about a killer other than being a human, you feel like you have to download it. And if you are looking for a game to pass the time, this game will get it done.
Killer Bean Unleashed is an intense action shooter that combines old school gameplay with new school graphics! Killer Bean was once a member of an elite agency of assassins, until they tried to kill him. Now he's on a mission to eliminate them all, one bullet at a time! Become Killer Bean in this old school action platform shooter and take down the Shadow Agency.
When you first start the game you'll notice that there are three modes of play in the game: Story mode, mega mode and survival mode. You are an ex-assassin bean who used to work for a secret agency until they tried to kill you and now you want revenge.

The game looks great for a standard side scrolling platform based shooter. Graphics are pretty good compared to what you would expect from a platform game and run pretty smoothly. As for the control system it is a fairly simple layout and works pretty effectively. The buttons can be moved around and placed wherever you want on the screen, not that there is anything wrong with the original layout. The only issue I had with this is that you can't change the angle of your gun,  whereas the CPU beans can giving you a severe disadvantage.
There are several different kinds of ammo the bean can use which can be unlocked by using cold coins earned at the end of the levels. The more skill you use the bigger the reward you get. Sadly you actually have to remember to hit the 'Award Gold Coins' button to earn the coins otherwise you don't get them. To me the need to claim you reward seems like an unessential feature, why can't they just be automatically given? If you are feeling like your struggling you can purchase gold coins via an in-game purchase but again I don't see that you would really need to as you can replay levels if you need to get yourself more coins for better ammo. And speaking of levels there are 15 intense levels to play through.
Now if you enjoy shooting mindlessly beans then please download this freebie onto your Android device today.
