Five Awesome Upcoming iOS RPGs

It's a great time to be an iOS gamer if you're into the RPG scene. With traditional titles and riffs on classics on the horizon, there's a veritable cornucopia of new adventures to take on for the rest of the year and even into the next. Here's a selection of some fantastic upcoming role-playing games that deserve your time and attention in the coming months.
Hometown Story Pocket

Release Date: Out Now
The iOS version of the hit 3DS game Hometown Story is every bit as addictive as the original, and it's straight out of E3 2014. It's already available, so even if you exhausted what you could from the original Hometown Story, give this one a whirl as well. Players must run a store and make sure each of their unique customers needs are satisfied. Players will need to stay on their toes to reach their daily goals and be the best shop master they can be. As a bonus the music for the game was produced by Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu!
Gabrielle's Monstrous Duel
Release Date: TBA
This continuation of the Gabrielle series finds the Gothic Lolita cutie facing down zombies in battle after battle. Players will have to carefully choose which items to use against opponents as the wrong one can cause their enemies to become more powerful or even send the attack back. While the original game was rife with more music and rhythm mechanics, this one should be more strategy-focused.
Death Road to Canada
Release Date: 2015, 1st quarter
This game is a randomized road trip simulator where players will attempt to make the trip from Florida to Canada while trying to escape from various hordes of zombies. Players will have to scavenge for supplies find new recruits and keep their cars intact. When the player dies that will be it and the game will start anew. Better keep on your toes!
The Witcher Battle Arena

Release Date: Late 2014
This game is a take on the MOBA genre. Players will pick a hero and level them up and utilize items to help their teammates defend against 3 other human or computer players. The game will be F2P and set in the Witcher world, but the only in-app purchases will be for unlocks that can also be obtained by just playing the game.
Chroma Squad
Release Date: Spring 2015
From the creators of Knights of Pen and Paper, this game is a tactical turn-based strategy game with RPG and manager elements. Players will manage and record episodes for a sentai TV studio (think Power Rangers). You'll have to hire actors, craft equipment and record episodes to be the best!
