Extreme Bike Trip Review

A bad copy of Roofdog Games earlier games.
If you have played Roofdogs games, you know the feel and the classic engine they use. A lot of developers use their own engines and elements used in other games over again, but they usually update them and make it even better. But to be honest, it feels like Roofdog made it worse and made a really crap game that could have been way better.
Extreme Bike Trip or Bike Trip is an endless runner where you drive a bike and pull stunts to make it even further in the game. You have limited fuel so you'll need to grab more by driving on fuel cans or by pulling stunts, giving you boosts. The game is pretty simple. Get as far as you can. Each level is randomly generated so it isn't too easy. There is also a leveling system that levels up after driving. After each level has been reached you receive crates that you need to tap to open. It is a fun concept but Roofdog decided to change the design of the crates, thus making them ugly. There is so much in this game that I am just irritated about.

Design
The design is really, really bad in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I loved Extreme Road Trip and Extreme Road Trip 2. I loved everything from the color choice to the challenges. In this one, it fails at both. Bike Trip feels so dead. They tried an even more cartoony feel to it, and it just didn't fit. There is many maps aka backgrounds in the game. You even have the choice to decide which one you want to play with. I think that is a great option but would have been better if the maps were looking better.

Gameplay
The gameplay was fun in the first hour then it just became repetitive and dull. The game runs smoothly but may be lagging on older phones. The controls works fine and are the same from the older games. Left screen to tilt left and right to tilt right. Hold both to slam down. The controls are fluid. Other than the game is actually boring everything else is pretty fine. They use the same currency system as they've used previously with their bucks to buy new items. There is a total of 24 bikes, some new power ups like the ejectable seat that will eject you from your seat and send you flying away. This is a new thing. After crashing your player will still be moving after the crash. You will stop slowly as you lose speed.

Multiplayer
A brand new feature that is one of the reasons I won't give this game the worst score is the multiplayer. Multiplayer is a brand new feature that allows you to play in real time against other players. This is really cool and fun. Multiplayer has been a needed feature in the Extreme Road Trip series and they have finally added it. It works smoothly without any bugs which is something I did not expect.
Even though the two other road trip games made by Roofdog Games were fun, it doesn't mean that this one will be fun too. It felt like it was really sloppy by the developers. It could have been an even better game than its previous ones. The game runs fine and the design is pretty "ok" in my opinion. The soundtrack was good and was one of the best things in the game. Feel free to try it yourself but if you have already spent a lot of time on Extreme Road Trip 2, don't expect this to be better
