1. Dark Meadow: The Pact
Widely recognized as one of the best examples of horror gaming out there, Dark Meadow: The Pact is gorgeous, intense, and fitted with an excellent narrative that'll ensure you keep playing even after you've screamed yourself into shock. It's also free, so you really have nothing to lose by giving it a try.

2. Dead Space
Solving quick Kinesis puzzles, scavenging for items, and drinking in the environments is clearly Dead Space's strong suit, and this mobile version does a fantastic job of translating those things. With fantastic graphics, true-to-console music and sound effects, the presentation is top-notch, and this is a fantastic survival horror title with plenty to offer. It's also usually on sale, so you can pick it up on the cheap!

3. Limbo
Limbo isn't a conventionally "scary" title, but it deserves a spot on the list due to its bleak atmosphere, bizarre narrative, and the incredibly gruesome ways your protagonist can die. It's extremely intense, and worth a look if you're not into zombies or ghosts or anything like that. Don't worry, there's still plenty to get your blood pumping, especially the first time you come face to face with the spider.
