How do I alter my control scheme in Modern Combat 5: Blackout?
Start up a mission, pause the game, and head over to the "customize HUD" option. You can alter every virtual button that pops up on-screen, from changing the size to how opaque the button itself actually is. This is done via slider, and you can arrange the buttons how you feel most comfortable. Alter the placement to your liking, but you might want to leave it the way it is by default when heading toward multiplayer. Any tweaks you make to the layout would better serve you for the slower-paced single-player campaign.
How do I earn additional experience so I can level up my character?
Modern Combat 5: Blackout boasts an impressive feature that ensures you unlock additional classes, weapons, and other customization options whether you play single or multiplayer modes. You can earn XP by completing missions and optional objectives, and on the multiplayer side of things you receive XP for kills, headshots, multi-kills, and any other useful way you can find to take out your enemies.
Keep an eye on each weapon's experience meter by racking up kills for new attachments and other augments. Put your accuracy to the test in multiplayer for feat-specific XP that can be earned simply by going for the head or being a prolific soldier and kicking butt by taking out two and three other soldiers out with you.
You can also unlock new skills that can be upgraded later on with SP, which is earned with every promotion, completion of events, and by certain missions. SP is not as plentiful as XP, so you'll want to spend it wisely.
Should I change my movement speed in order to remain undetectable?
Absolutely, and this is a vital step to take (and a sneaky one) if you want to end up outperforming the competition. Head over to the Adjust Controls menu that we mentioned earlier to turn on "Auto-Sprint," which allows you to run at all times. Keep moving and you'll be an even more difficult target for other players to hit.
What's the best way to reload my weapons to minimize my wait time?
If you've already changed your button layout, you can move your weapon selection button to be right near your movement buttons. If you arrange it just right, you can simply swipe to change out your weapon without having to worry about reloading, saving precious time.
