Just like endless runners on
mobile games, shooters too can also be very addictive, but if it’s done
right. And thankfully Respawnables is a shooter done right.
Now if the Call of Duty franchise was to soften their image, and make the game made for a less than 18 year old audience, Respawnables would be the result. This is a 3rd person shooter, and your objective is to shoot as many enemies as you can within the time limit.
When you first start playing the game you will notice that it has a comic book, cartoon like visuals. And when you play the single play missions it’s more like a free for all, it’s all for though.
As you are going through the map and trying to eliminate as many
enemies as you can, as time is counting down, getting that high score.
This game is indeed addictive.
The visual of this game are nice looking, as the environments look
very detailed, and you character look like he was pulled right out of a
comic and put into the game. The sounds are what you expect of a good
shooter, the sounds of guns blazing, the moaning sound of when you or
another character, dies, explosive cans exploding.
The controls may take a little getting used to, moving your character
is smooth as butter but the targeting and shooting button are beside
each other, and at times I have my right finger on the top of my phone
and when I feel like shooting someone I tend to press the top of my
phone realizing that I’m playing my phone and not playing on my console.
So like I said it will take some practice getting used to that.
Respawnables was developed by Zynga, and when games are developed by Zynga you have a lot to unlock. There is a ton of stuff at the store
for you to buy and try out. Now most of the stuff can be unlocked by
leveling up. There are different types of guns such as a shotgun, and
dual pistol, but some guns will require you to buy it with gold
or having to use you own money such as MIB’s Noisy Cricket (Remember in
the first MIB movie where K passes that small gun to J). There are also
different types of heads, shirts, pants for you to buy and they all
have different attributes such as adding more health or accuracy. You
can also get the proton gun, from the movie Ghostbusters.
Yes folks there is multiplayer in the game, but this is somewhat of a down fall to the game unless you have a lot of friends
who that Respawnables or have a lot of people who have this game the
multiplayer mode is not that exciting to play. I have tried playing both
multiplayer modes there are Team VS, and Free for All and I at times I
had one player join me with ease at other times it took over 8 minutes
to look for other players.
If you are looking for a shooter on the go Respawnables is the game
to pick up and it’s free, but like I had mentioned before unless there
are a lot of people who have this game on their Android, the multiplayer
isn’t fun at all. Thankfully there is single player for you to enjoy, happy gaming.
