Take Full Advantage of the Head Start
Before you begin each stage, you'll have a five-second head start before the ball rolls. Use this time to your advantage and figure out the best pieces to use in each situation. Try to pre-plan your route and put the pieces in place. Once the ball starts rolling, you'll need to act quickly.
Restart is Your Friend
When it comes to a game like Unroll Me, don't feel so bad about restarting each stage. Practice makes perfect, and you won't be penalized when it comes to restarting a round. Just go back and try again, and figure out the best route possible.
It Never Hurts to Replay a Stage
If you end up getting just one or two stars (out of three) on a stage, feel free to go back and set up your route quicker, and in less moves. Doing so will earn you three stars, and you can go on to the next stage with ease.
Moving a Little Higher Up
If a stage places the ball on a lower area of the board - with a goal that appears in the higher section - try to focus more on pieces that will get it to that higher area. These include straight vertical pieces and curved pieces that will change its course. Try to get it up as high as possible, then use straight vertical pieces to align it with the goal.
The Pause Button
Sometimes the pause button is a lifesaver. You won't be able to see the board while the game is paused, but you will have a mental picture in your mind as to where certain pieces are. Don't be afraid to use this often when planning your route, then returning to the game and putting the pieces where you think they go best. In addition, don't be afraid to restart a round, as we mentioned before.
Disregard Speed Up, Unless You're Sure
If you have the correct route set up for the ball - where it connects to the goal - it'll speed up automatically to get where it needs to go. There's also a manual speed up button, but you won't need to use it that often. The ball goes fast enough as it is, and the only time you'll want to activate it is if you have a clear idea of your route. Take your time and you'll get where you need to go.
You Can Move a Tile While There's a Ball on it
In some cases, it's better to have the ball on the tile, as you can change its route and get closer to the goal. Watch out for opportunities to do this, as it can save you some moves and make it easier to get that three star rating.
