Here are some tips to help you get the most out of [Busted].
What power-ups are available in [Busted]?
The main one you'll want to keep an eye on is Gasoline. This looks like a huge gas pump, and allows you to continue your run. Otherwise, you'll run low on speed, making it easier for the cops to catch up. Grab this whenever you can.Another useful power-up is the Nitro can. By grabbing this, you'll double your speed, which will not only help you escape the cops pursuing you, but also ram any vehicles - cops included - in your way.
The Magnet power-up allows you to collect any cash in your vicinity, even if it's above you on a ramp. It floats to your car automatically for a few seconds, so don't miss this.
Finally, the 2X cash doubler does exactly what it says, multiplying your cash value for a limited amount of time.
How do I deal with cops in [Busted]?
Cops will be behind and in front of you over the course of the game, and can be a real nuisance when it comes to collecting cash - because if you hit one, your run is pretty much over. However, there are a couple of ways to deal with them. The first is braking. By using this, you can avoid close collisions, making it easier to change lanes and collect cash. However, don't go too slow. It'll give the opportunity for them to bust you, through a meter in the lower corner. Quickly get back up to speed.
The other is being able to ram cars off the road. However, you can't do it straightaway, as a front or mid collision with a cop car will result in a crash. Once they're close to you, though, you can ram them and earn additional points, which adds to your cash total at the end of the round.
You can also ram cops if you have a nitro activated, as you won't crash while it's in use. Keep these tactics in mind.
How do I avoid road blocks in [Busted]?
The key here is to watch for open gaps. As bad as these road blocks look, there's always an open space for your car to slide through. Watch for this open space and then move over to the adjacent line. You'll coast right through.Should I go over ramps in [Busted]?
Sure. They provide some good air time, and for the most part, they come with cash that you can collect in mid-air. Plus, they're really fun to watch.Do I need to pay for anything in [Busted]?
You can, but it's completely optional. The game features a good cash system, which you can turn around to buy additional power-ups, including Gasoline, 2X Multiplier and Magnet, as well as Most Wanted multipliers. Other cars are also available, ranging from the Muscle XT for 12,000 to the Bolt Z for 21,000. Each comes with certain perks, like automatic score multiplier. You can also use in-game cash for secondary options, such as selecting different paint jobs. There are two cars you can start with, though, and the game doesn't punish you by forcing you to pay. You can earn a pretty good amount of cash on each run, so you should only drop real money if you want the better cars right away. Cash purchases vary, from $0.99 for 10,000 to $19.99 for 500,000. There's also an option to remove those annoying pop-up ads for $1.99 - but you can skip those.
