Modern Command Cheats And Tips

Modern Command is the latest mobile release from Chillingo, an entertaining tactical action game where you defend your base from enemies using a variety of weapons. As you proceed through each mission, you'll be able to unlock new power-ups and tools, which will come in handy against tougher adversaries.
Here are some tips to help you crush the opposition.

How do you target and attack enemies in Modern Command?

Your base is placed in the center of each stage, and in the upper corner of the screen, you're given a scanner that shows you where enemy forces are in the game. You'll need to scroll up to these sections to put bad guys in your sights.
From there, it's a matter of selecting which weapon you want to use and then tapping on the enemy's position - or close to it - to attack them. Chain guns will attack an enemy very closely, while with missiles, you need to allow for a delay between when they launch and when they hit the targets. Plan ahead and you'll hit them with no problem.
The key here is to continue moving around the map. Enemies strike from different directions, and if you don't keep up the tactical advantage, you're likely to get overrun. The goal is to keep your base intact throughout the course of the mission. If you lose too much energy, you'll lose the round.

What weapons work best on enemies in Modern Command?

Chain guns are quite effective if enemies get close, as they can wipe out small soldiers and vehicles with ease. When it comes to bigger ones, however, you'll want to use missiles. Small missile launchers are quite powerful, but obviously the big boys are the ones you'll want to use, especially if you're trying to wipe out multiple targets at once.
The key here is timing your shots, as you have to reload each of your weapons after using them for so long. Fortunately, as the game goes on, you can stock more of them in your base and switch between them, so you'll never be out of firepower. Just don't wear them out, because that means you're likely to be overrun.

What additional weapons are available in Modern Command?

As you proceed through missions, you'll earn expertise, which in turn will open up tiers of additional weaponry. From there, you can use credits to purchase these weapons, including heavier firepower turrets and missile launchers, as well other secondary defenses. You can buy these in the Armory.
Meanwhile, you can also use Research to develop new accessories that you'll use in battle, including bomber jets and other power-packing weapons. Take advantage of these as often as you can, because it'll help you prepare for bigger and badder enemies later on in the game.

How do I keep supplies in stock in Modern Command?

Your weapons will fill up over time over the course of their use, and you'll be able to see your stock by checking the Supplies bar at the top of the page. Once it goes low, you'll either need to wait a while for it to refill, or pay one gold star (part of your currency) to refill it automatically. We suggest taking your time with battles. That way, you can save your stars for credits and buy more weaponry.

How do I earn medals in Modern Command?

Medals act like Achievements, and unlock as you meet certain tasks in the game. For instance, completing a mission using four different weapon types will earn you a Combined Arms medal, a Spoils of War medal opens up with 500,000 credits in your bank account, and so on. Check the Medals section on the menu to see how you're progressing.

Do I have to pay for stars in Modern Command?

You can earn stars and credits in the game by completing missions, but it's a slow process. If you prefer to move a little faster and get more weapons, you can purchase stars through an in-game app, ranging from $1.99 for 15 all the way to $99.99 for 1,500. It's optional, but to make progress right away, you might need to it.
On a side note, you can earn an additional three stars free-of-charge by signing into Facebook. We recommend doing this anyway, as you can pass along challenges to fellow players.
