Tiki Monkeys Review

If you are a pirate and you find out that your hard earn treasure is stolen by monkeys, what do you do? Well you go and get it back from them, that's what. And that's what this game is about. This is MilkCap Studios first game simply titled: Tiki Monkeys.
Now Tiki Monkey is an action strategy game, in which the player must hunt down treasure stealing monkeys, that have well…..stolen your treasure.  When you first start the game, you will go through a small tutorial, that just gives you basics on how to play the game. Then the training wheels come off and you are on your own.
You will find out the each stage will give you different options and different ways on how to clear a stage. You can finish stages by simply sliding your finger on the monkeys, boxes, treasure chests, and explosives, and doing all this, will make you deliver combos that will clear the stage and on to the next one. Doing great combos will also increase your points that you will get on the stage. I love pulling off great combos, but in doing so, also causes problems too. Now take for instance, when you do pull of a perfect combo, your character will start running onto the next screen too fast, leaving you struggling, to get your hard earned coins, that you worked so hard for.  Trying to make a perfect combo on each stage is cool, you should also never forget about the flying  banana, or the coconut canon, because once you get hit, it will be game over, however you can still continue to play by spending one ruby. By default, you will get 5 rubies for free and 3 auto slice power up. The auto slice power up will slice up flying objects that are headed towards you, and will automatically slice the object.

Tiki Monkeys visuals and sounds are not revolutionary, but the simple design, are very colorful, and filled with rich environments that are very eye-catching. And the sounds are very catchy, you will at times bop your head to the game's music, and I have to admit, even as I do this review I am bopping my head right now.
Playing this game at first glance reminds me of The Legend of Zelda (from the original NES) with some Assassin's Creed 4 thrown into the mix. The game offers a different concept, and gameplay that provides great enjoyment for anyone looking to play something different. Tiki Monkeys is available free at the Google Play Store.
