Mega Jump 2 may not be the most polished game in the endless runner genre, but it's still a very entertaining one thanks it its diverse cast of characters and easy controls.
Here are some tips that'll help get you started in the game.
How do I collect coins in Mega Jump 2?
Coins are scattered throughout each stage, either singled out or in groups. Collecting them is key to keeping your run going, as they'll give you a small boost upwards - not as high as some power-ups mind you, but they certainly help keep your run going when you need it to.There's also an option to purchase more coins separately, which we'll cover a bit later on.
What Power-ups are available in Mega Jump 2?
There are five power-ups that can help you get ahead. The first is the Magnet, which automatically draws all gems and coins to you, even if you're not touching them.Next up is Embiggenate, which temporarily triples your character size so you can grab more stuff and hit enemies with ease.
Fireball allows you to shoot higher temporarily, while blazing through any enemies that may get in your path.
Double Score does exactly as you'd expect, doubling your points for a limited amount of time.
Finally, Mega Mode activates when you collect a significant number of coins and power-ups, making you invincible and shooting you higher than any of the previous power-ups.
You can level any of these up in the upgrades menu, with the first upgrade costing you 250 coins and rising exponentially after that. Depending which power-ups you're more fond of, you'll want to save your coins for them.
How do Adventures work in Mega Jump 2?
Adventures are essentially goals you have to meet in order to earn rewards, including coin bonuses and multipliers. These can vary, like reaching a certain height, collecting a number of coins or others. Once you meet these, the overall prize unlocks. You can also earn Lucky Box bonuses, which you can open to collect various power-ups and other goodies. How do Boosts work in Mega Jump 2?
Boosts give you a nice advantage when you begin your next game. Here's how they work:Over Shield: keeps you protected for 20 seconds, deflecting any bad guys off of you.
Score Boost: adds five to your score multiplier for the entire round
Mega Start: gives you a 250-meter boost automatically at the start of the game
Lucky Box: shows what power-ups are available from boxes you've opened
Coin Doubler: doubles your coins each time you play. Note this costs $4.99, and can't be unlocked with in-game currency.
To be honest, the best boost here is the Over Shield. It really helps you get past enemies with ease, continuing your run. The Mega Start isn't bad either, if you're looking to get good height.
What monsters are available in Mega Jump 2?
You'll start with Redford, a red monster with a tendency to use Fireball techniques to get ahead. As you go on, you can unlock others, including:Bluto (10,000 coins), who has a preference for the Magnet.
Rosie (25,000 coins), who uses both Fireball and Double Score to her advantage.
Pepper (75,000 coins), a penguin with lasting Embiggenate and Mega Mode techniques, along with a ten percent coin bonus throughout the game.
Foxworthy (20 gems), who can jump on trap platforms that other characters would otherwise pass through.
Rolf (50 gems), a wolf that can bounce on Trap Platforms and increases both Embiggenate and Score Multiplier abilities.
Penny (50 Gems), a cat that can add additional seconds to Magnet, Fireball and Double Score.
Dizzy (100 Gems), a dinosaur with one second addition to all power-ups, as well as a 20 percent coin bonus.
Bryan (45,000 coins), a snowman with additional Mega Mode seconds and a Special Snowflake trail.
Five additional monsters are also unlockable, but they remain secret until you collect enough eggs to get them - which you can find in Lucky Boxes.
