Joe Danger Infinite offers fans of last year's touchscreen Joe Danger adventure plenty to get excited about. Newcomers might need a few tips for nailing perfect scores though, so we've put together our guide to getting the most from the game. Read on for all the advice you need!
It can be very easy to obscure the screen with one hand, and miss out on collecting an item or hitting an obstacle as a result. The best way to play the game if you want to achieve a perfect rating is to hold your iPhone and control Joe with one hand, while using your spare hand to tap on any letters or other bonus items as you play. Keep your other hand well out of they way once you've collected the item, so you can see what's coming up next.
In certain tracks you'll have to contend with sticky surfaces which will seriously slow Joe down. Any time you see mud or glue appear on the track ahead, swipe backwards through Joe to have him perform a wheelie. With one wheel in the air, he'll whizz through the mess without losing any speed at all.
In many of the game's stages, you'll have to contend with powerful fans that blast Joe up into the air. If you need to change height, make sure you begin the switch as soon as you've collected the last coin lying on your current plane. Just press the screen and hold down to bring Joe back down to earth.
It's essential to time your jumps very carefully, but do be aware that you can hold Joe down in a ducking position well before reaching an obstacle. Simply release your finger when you want him to leap into the air and avoid danger - particularly handy for those yellow hoops where you need precise timing to get a perfect rating.
To unlock a new stage in Joe Danger, you need to achieve a certain number of rating medals. If you're struggling to unlock a new set of stages, consider going right back to the beginning of the game, and grabbing any outstanding medals. It's always easier at the start of the game, so you should have no trouble picking up a few extra.
If an object is surrounded by a blue bubble, you're going to have to "pop" it with one finger to collect it. For everything else, you simply have to steer Joe through the item.
There's a very tricky multi-jump maneuver that's required to capture coins that are laid out in a multiple curve format. As you approach the first curve, make your jump and then immediately tap the screen again to do a double-jump, and scoop up every last coin in the process.
