It's been a while since we've heard anything regarding Devil's Third, the latest project from Ninja Gaiden creator Tomonobu Itagaki. However, it recently resurfaced, with news that it's headed to iOS and Android sometime this year.
Speaking with 4Gamer, Itagaki provided an update on the game, stating that it's nearing completion. "Next year will be the year we'll be releasing the console game, Devil's Third. At the moment, it is about 80 percent complete, and we can about see the end of it," stated Itagaki late last year. "However, there's still a little more polishing that needs to be done. That's also one of the reasons I've decided to work independently.
"For you fans out there, I'd like to apologize for making you worry," he concluded. "We'll be going all out next year, so please look forward to it."
No word yet on who will be publishing Devil's Third - it was originally being handled by THQ, but that company folded due to bankruptcy - but we should have more information soon.
