Zenonia 5 is the fifth installment of the popular jRPG franchise, this one is dubbed "Zenonia 5 : Wheel of Destiny". This game is probably my favorite of the series, because the game itself really looks crisp , and sharp, the gameplay runs so smooth, and the game itself just done really well.
Follow the story of four brand new characters, Abel (Berserker), Evan (Mechanic), Neal (Wizard), and Ryan a Paladin. The story takes place in a distant past after Regret (Zenonia 4) defeated Shaturu. Lu became king and they had peace and harmony but the selfishness of man overtook them and now they are faced with corruption and evil. And you job is to restore order by defeating the Devil Tribe. This evil tribe has grown in numbers and they plan on getting revenge on humans.
Once you have chosen your character/class you can add your own personal touch by changing their skin tome and their hair type to more your liking. The controls are good. On the left of the screen you have a virtual joypad. You move your thumb along its edges, and your character follows. To sprint, simply double tap and you're off. On the left is one giant button surrounded by eight smaller ones. The big one is your context-sensitive button. You press this to attack, talk, pick up items, etc. The smaller buttons surrounding it can be filled with skills or items you come across for quick access. Also on the left center of the screen are your pause button (which also brings up your menu screen) and your quick save button. Finally, a map is located in the upper right corner that expands when touched.
Now if you have played the Zenonia series you'll be happy to know that that the battle system is still pretty much the same. So there is nothing to fear. And if you are new to the series the battle system is not a time-based system like Final Fantasy. It plays like an Action-RPG much like how Zelda games play.
The graphics are just simply breathtaking, if you take compare Zenonia 5 to past Zenonia games, Zenonia 5 takes the prize, everything looks stunning, crisp, and clear. The characters now look bigger, and look more detailed, than past Zenonia games. As for the game sounds however there are no voice dialogues, even in the intro. Still it is one minor disappointment, that does not kill the over experience of the game.
Now as this is being a game that is developed by Gamevil it is a freebie and you can expect to take out your credit card to buy things, but you don't need to play this game. You can play the game with having to open up you wallet.
Zenonia 5 – Wheel of Destiny is an enjoyable experience, there is enough to do to keep you occupied for hours. Fans of the series will immediately be blown away, and those new to the series will instantly hooked. This is one of the best jRPG's to have on your Android device.
