Developer Havok is testing a new engine for mobile devices that they intend to use and distribute for developing better looking games. In line with the new engine named Project Anarchy, Havok has released a short 15 minute tech demo game called Anarchy RPG to show off its capabilities. You can download it for free and give your feedback or play around with the source code to make your own game. As stated in their Google Play Store description, "all source code and assets for this game are provided for free and are available at www.projectanarchy.com".
The Project Anarchy engine includes Havok Vision Engine (graphics, level editing), Havok Physics (collision detection/ragdolls), Havok Animation Studio (character animation), and Havok AI (navigation of characters). The tech demo game itself is a pretty standard dungeon crawler ending with a boss fight. By the looks of it, the tech demo is going for the comical "Torchlight 2″ art style rather than the realistic "Diablo 3″ graphics, but it looks to be done very well and is polished with good lighting effects.
This marks Havok's first involvement in the mobile market as they primarily create for PCs and various consoles in the past.
