Grantham Model 500

The default gun you begin the game with really isn't worth writing home about. Good only for clearing out those early missions, and grinding enough cash to upgrade as soon as possible.
Clayton Frontline

Grantham Lightning

We're not saying the Grantham Lightning is a
bad gun necessarily, but its only advantage over the earlier rifles is an enhanced stability percentage. One for the collectors, we think.
Clayton Shadow

The Clayton Shadow on the other hand is much more like it. A true upgrade in just about every way, although you'll probably have to lay down some real money to afford those gold bars. Arguably worth the investment.
Westin Warfighter

If you don't want to spend real money on the game, the Westin Warfighter is quite achievable through cash-grind gameplay. It's a pretty powerful weapon too, with decent upgrade potential.
Clayton ODF Falcon

Maginot Lineman

Now we're getting serious. The Maginot Lineman packs an insane amount of power at the expense of infrared capability and a disappointingly low ammo capacity. If you're restricted to buying rifles with game cash only, this is the end of the line.

The absolute creme de la creme of hunting rifles is the G&H Howitzer. If you're going to lay down real cash on just one gun in the game, you can do an awful lot worse than pick up this awesome all-rounder.
