Real Racing 3 Review

*Before we get on to the review of Real Racer 3, please make sure that you have at least 1.2 GB of free space on your Android device before you download this great racing game.*
Now it wasn't to long ago when EA (Electronic Arts) released Real Racing 3 on iOS devices. And after a short wait, Real Racing 3 is finally on Android devices. Real Racing 3 (RR3) is the follow up sequel to the very popular racing series. EA has taken everything that was good from RR2 and put them in RR3, and they added new cars, tracks, and modes for fans and newcomers to the series to enjoy. Please read on fellow gamers.
For those who may be new to the series RR3 is a pretty-straight forward game. The objective is to race to the finish line first, against other drivers. And these other drivers that you are up against don't seem to act like your normal A.I. it almost feels like that you are racing against a human.

When you start the race, the game feels much like the same as any other racing game that you may have played on an Android device. Most cars stay on the driving line, a lot of them will crash into you just to stay on the driving line, and they really do not have the fun and excitement of genuine human racers (sad to say). That said, they do perform well, and the game gives enough of a challenge to make you want to progress further into the game.
RR3 does feature real place locations such as Mazda Raceway, Silverstone, Hockenheimring, and many more. All of these tracks are wonderfully detailed (you have to see it to believe it). EA just takes RR3 and just throws the game right at your face. Not only do the tracks detailed but they also look beautifully stunning. If you were to compare RR3 to the likes of Forza (Xbox 360) or even Gran Turismo (PlayStation 3) it would be very hard to tell them apart. The tracks really look that good. I did find a minor problem  in regards to the graphic though, sometimes you will find some pop-ins with the other cars, and every now and then you will experience an occasional hiccup, when the screen scrolls down quickly in one direction.
The game's sound is also very impressive in Real Racing 3. Each car sounds as it should in real-life, and the ambient sound effects of the racing circuit, and cars passing you etc. It all sounds realistic and add to the enjoyment of what is on of the best racing games on a mobile device.
RR3 controls are very responsive, and they can be also adjusted to your liking. The option of the tilt to turn mode is excellent, as this control is very accurate. There is also a virtual on-screen accelerator and brake which gives you a good feeling of control no matter which event you choose. During drag racing, things change slightly and you have to press a "start" button once the light turns green, and then change gears to get speed. It breaks up the monotony of constantly racing, but as mentioned, can be very tedious and no fun at all to play.
The amount of content that is in RR3 is just staggering. There are over 900 , yes I did say "over 900″ events to race in. You'll have events such as Spanning cup races, Speed Runs, Head-to-head races, and much more. As for cars there are over 40 cars such as McLauren F1, Bugatti Veyron, and the Audi R8 to choose from, and to add to your garage. There really is enough content here to keep you busy for a while.

If you have space on your Android device to download this game, please download it. Yes it is a huge download but it is well worth it. You don't have to spend real money to enjoy this game. EA has really done a good job to make this racing game unique and it does set itself apart from other racing games that are in the market. Real Racing 3 is free at the Google Play Store. You will have a lot of fun with this one.
