Playing as a giant boulder in this game is a lot of fun, believe it or not. And that's because it is. Giant Boulder of Death is a simple fun endless runner game. It's certainly a fun idea, but with such repetitive core gameplay, is just not up to par with the inherent addictiveness that makes other more successful endless runner games like Temple Run so great.
Playing the game is simple , you just tilt your Android device left or right to control a giant boulder, which will start off at the top of a mountain, and slowly but surely it will speed its way down the mountainous incline and it will pummel though almost everything in its path. Yes I did say "almost everything" that is because giant boulders do have limits. The town and its citizens have taken up giant measures to stop the boulder. You will have obstacles such as pits , deadly spike walls , a homing mine , and stockaides (which are just large walls) and some of these obstacles will break apart your boulder if you hit them once or enough times. Now if you manage to avoid these obstacles and run over things such as fences , people , cows , pine tree , and a Yeti, you will rack up some points, and when you rack up enough points in one game session, you will have automatically triggered the "Invinciboulder" power-up. This awesome power up will enlarge your boulder, and it will be covered in deadly spikes, that will let you go through everything, and I mean everything.
The good part of this game is having the ability to upgrade your boulder, you can improve its jump height , steering speed , duration of the Invinciboulder power-up. You can also buy "Spin Boosts" with you in-game currency of course. There are different spin boosts to buy such as "less spikes" this will eliminate some of those pesky spike walls, and a magnet that will help you suck in coins to you.
Over all Giant Boulder of Death is decent endless runner game. It is a game that has great visuals and sounds. The repetitive gameplay and noticeable lack of any addictive incentives to keep you really coming back for more after your first few rolls down the idle mountain hillside really lessen the experience as a whole. This one is a freebie at the Google Play Store.
