Epic Raiders Review

There are many free RPG games at the Google Play Store, and Epic Raiders is another free game at the store. Believe it or not it was Gamevil's cute 2D visuals that got my attention to download this game onto my Android device. So please read on fellow gamers
You do have to admit though Epic Raider looks like an innocent game, which is accompanied by its cute bouncy soundtrack, that would make any gamer smile with energy and enthusiasm.  Now when you first play the game you will notice that it is a beautifully Battleheart clone, except Epic Raiders has online multiplayer. And the multiplayer does feature , random matches against other player from around the world, and it even selects opponents based on difficultly.
You will control a team of You control a team of warriors in real time by using your finger to dictate their movements. Each character is versed in a different discipline – the Knight is your all-round option, while your mage and archer are specialist vocations, offering ranged support for your melee fighters. But after a few minutes of playing the game, it really becomes crystal clear that to get anywhere in Epic Raiders you will need to fork out real money. It really sucks that the best weapons, items, and armour that you would like to buy are locked until you buy them. It is difficult to get started in this game. I don't know what the developers were thinking at the time.

Creating this all-powerful force, however, requires a ton of gold and stars.  Therein lies the biggest issue with Epic Raiders.  Earning gold is easy enough, even when you lose, thanks to a modest Fail Reward.  Unfortunately, the most low-level gear costs gold, while the high-level goodies cost stars, but guess what?  Stars are, from what we can tell, impossible to come by through normal play, meaning you have to cough up some cash to buy some.  Thus, you must make a decision.  Constantly get your butt kicked, or open your wallet to turn the tide.
The in-app purchases are without a doubt a major issue, and it does kill the experience of the game. But there is a good side to this game. Epic Raiders at times can be repetitive but enjoyable. The constant micromanagement of the team, leveling them up and then outfitting each one with different swords, guns, axes, armor, staffs, helms and the like, and on top of that, you can even pick up magic doodads and boost/unlock special attacks. And did I mention that there is multiplayer. You're free to enjoy random battles all you want.  Other modes, though, require Network Coupons to play.  How do you get Network Coupons? Gee "how" indeed.
Epic Raiders was a hard game to review because the pros where blinded by the cons. And this obviously an money-making app rather than being a game. I would have really loved to enjoyed Epic Raiders , but I just found out that instead of leaving an impression in your heart it will leave a burning hole in your credit card.
