Pixlgun 3D Cheats and Tips

Alex Krasnov's Pixlgun 3D, a first-person shooter that pays loving tribute to Minecraft, offers up several gameplay options. Whether you prefer taking down zombies in Survival mode, hunting your friends in local multiplayer, or creating zombie skins based on your very own flesh and blood, there's certainly plenty to keep you busy.
To help you get just a little further into the game, we've put together a few hints and tips that will help you get the most out of this wonderful hybrid title.

1
- The weapons don't automatically reload in Pixlgun 3D. Once you run out of ammunition, you'll need to manually tap the reload button in order to start shooting once more. When you're surrounded by enemies - or low on ammunition - this can be tricky. Whenever you find a quick moment to breathe, go ahead and reload so you have a full clip ready for when the next group of zombies and monsters attack. You'll thank us later - and save yourself an embarrassing death as your gun starts clicking...
- Not all of the enemies you face will be at ground level. There are smaller bouncing zombie heads that will chew away at your knees, or crawling zombies that slowly but surely make their way to you. Use the touchscreen to aim generally towards ground level so that you hit anything that moves. Don't worry - you'll still do sufficient damage to standard enemies, while taking out the smaller ones with ease.
2
- The game provides an option to buy a "big pack of ammo" for an additional $.99 in real money. Before you go throwing your money at the game, take a good run around the level that you're on. Sometimes additional weapons, such as Uzis and assault rifles will appear on the battlefield. This will save you money, as well as save your skin in the game.
- One thing we cannot emphasize enough is to keep moving at all times. Zombie hordes will come at you from all sides in Survival mode, and if you stay in one place for too long, you'll get ambushed. It's important to move along to gain an advantage on incoming enemies, take them out, and then move to another spot. Don't forget to look behind you either. Those bouncing zombie heads can easily sneak up on you from behind and cause you a nasty headache.
3
- Online multiplayer isn't available in Pixlgun 3D as of yet - that'll change with an update down the road - but local multiplayer works just fine for up to ten players. There are six maps available, ranging from small to extra-large. To get started, we suggest sticking with the extralarge at first, so you can get used to tactics and movement. Once you're ready for a real challenge, you can make the shift to the smaller, more intense maps.
- Before you go into the portal, and when you're done killing all the zombies in the training stage, hop over the fence and pick up the extra coin that's just behind the wall. It never hurts to have a little extra currency after all, especially when it comes to making upgrades later on down the line.
