Are you ready for something cool? Sony announced a new accessory for photography nuts who just want to snap professional-grade pictures whenever and wherever without having to carry a DSLR camera around. Introducing the new Cybershot DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100, a detachable lens-style camera which can be attached via clip to Android smartphones. With Samsung unveiling the Samsung Gear smartwatch, I assume this is Sony's attempt to keep themselves on the headlines as well. The QX100 will be able to churn out 20 megapixel still pictures with its powerful 3.6x zoom, Optical Steadyshot image stablization with Active Mode, and 1″ EXMOR R CMOS sensor. If all that sounds like gibberish to you, just know that it is indeed awesome. You can also take 1920 x 1080p HD videos at 30 frames per second with this thing. If that isn't enticing enough, the lense can be controlled remotely via wifi, so it doesn't even have to be clipped to the phone. Imagine you're at a standing concert and the person in front of you is waving his arms high in the air. With this, you can record your favorite song live above the person's annoyingly big head and hairy arms. After capturing the image or recording the video, it can be edited and shared using Sony's PlayMemories Mobile app. | |||
