DuckTales: Scrooge's Loot is Disney's attempt to offer an alternative to the usual third-person
action game. Instead of relying on mature players, it appeals to
all-ages, with non-lethal weapons and plenty of fun multiplayer options
to go around.
We enjoyed it, and chances are you will too. On that note, here are some tips to keep in mind when collecting gold.
-Memorize the high points of each map. This will allow you to take
out enemies from a distance. While not as exciting as collecting gold,
it does allow you to be a good team player, defending others as they
make their run for the money trucks.
-Don't walk across a level when you can fly. There are certain points
in each map loaded with jump ramps. Use these to fly to the other side
in no time. Not only does this help you reach money trucks faster, but
it also lets you ambush enemies.
-When making a run with gold bars in your possession, try to keep an
eye behind you. Enemies love taking pot shots from the rear, and if you
run out of energy, you lose whatever gold you collected.
-Strong weapons are useful for taking out enemies if they're standing
around in clusters. One-on-one, chances are you'll miss your shots,
even if you think targets are within your sights. Stick with smaller
weapons, like the ice cream and water cannon, to do big-time damage.
-Although your melee weapon is useful, keep moving; enemies hit back.
Stick and move - it's a tactic that works well in first-person
shooters, and it also works in DuckTales.
-Get accustomed to the single player Mission Mode before jumping into
multiplayer. You'll learn battle techniques against the A.I., and get
the hang of each weapon.
-You'll sometimes need to use gems to buy in-game items, including an
instant re-spawn if you don't feel like waiting and additional tickets
for more matches. Before you plunk down real cash, check the free offers
page. You'll find a number of promotional deals that provide a ton of
gems for doing something as simple as watching a video.
