Fans of endless runners - and zombie games - are in for a treat with Armor Games' Infectonator: Hot Chase,
a fun free-to-play game where you pick off members of the human race to
keep your zombie run going.
-When you first begin the game - in the opening tutorial - you may
notice there aren't many humans to infect. Don't worry. During your
second run, you'll see a few more. Try to collect them all in one shot
if you can, because the more humans you infect, the longer you keep the
run going.
-Upgrade, upgrade, upgrade! Like Jetpack Joyride, Infectonator: Hot
Chase has a number of coins to collect, either sitting in piles on the
street or "pickpocketed" from humans you infect. You can turn these
around to improve your zombie's performance. The most important ones are
Max Horde, which can increase the number of zombies you collect on each
stage; Mutation Chance, which scatters more power-ups on each stage;
Speed and Stamina. You'll have plenty of chances to upgrade, and once
the in-game store begins working again, you can buy extra coins -
completely optional, of course.
-Watch out for power-ups. These are glowing green orbs that appear
throughout each stage that grant access to a number of characters. Our
particular favorite is the Bomber, who you can detonate when surrounded
by humans, so you can infect them all in a single blast. Each one is
quite helpful, though, including the Bolt, who gives you a much-needed
boost of energy; the Puker, which shoots projectiles ahead of you to
infect out-of-reach humans; and others.
-There are several unlockable zombies in the game, each with a
certain advantage. You've got the Kid Zombie, who can move up and down
the screen faster; the Gangster Zombie, who runs on a motorcycle at an
increase of 40 percent speed; and more. They require a higher coin
count, so if you're going to put down real money, invest in these guys.
-You receive one speed boost at the start of the level, but don't
waste it! Instead, try to save it for the later part of the stage, like
when you're starting to run low on energy. If you can, use it when you
get to the first police barricade. You'll bust through without taking
damage from bullets - which can affect your health - and continue on
your way.
-They may seem useless, but be sure to check out the Trivia Tips on
the recap screen. You'll learn a thing or two - like how Walt Disney was
actually afraid of mice.
-Finally, be sure to unlock the Gangnam Zombie. Not only will you get
a few laughs from his design (PSYYYYY!), but you'll also attract coins
using a magnet, and earn double coin scores. He'll really clean up for
you.
