EA Mobile has announced the launch of a large new content update for Plants vs. Zombies 2. The update takes players to the Far Future World, complete with new levels, plants, zombie types and more. With this new update, the game has also crossed a download milestone, having been downloaded more than 150 million times to date.
In Far Future World, players have access to 24 new levels and eight new plants. These plants include the Laser Bean, Infi-Nut and Star-Fruit. The Laser Bean can be used to shoot all zombies in its lane, while the Star-Fruit shoots stars in multiple directions. These zombies will be useful in combatting 10 new zombie types, including some equipped with jetpacks.
New power tiles have also been added to the game. When players drop plant food on these power tiles, all plants on matching tiles will power-up.
Finally, the Zen Garden has been introduced, which offers a new take on the feature seen in the first Plants vs. Zombies game. This Zen Garden allows gamers to grow new plants for their army, with Bernie the Bumble Bee being on hand to speed up a plant's growth rate.
Plants vs. Zombies 2 is available to download for free on iOS and Google Play.
