Temple Run 2 developer Imangi Studios has announced an Easter update for its popular mobile endless runner, as well as new support for cloud syncing of save files and a "Save Me Wheel" for bonus prizes. The cloud support update is available now on iOS, and will come to Android and Windows next week.
Via this update, players will keep their high scores and unlocked items across multiple devices, from tablets to smartphones. Meanwhile, the Easter update sees the game's coins turned into Easter Eggs, and offers five Easter artifacts for collection. Players will earn these artifacts by simply playing the game, and they'll eventually unlock a set of Easter Bunny ears for their runner as they progress.
Finally, the Save Me Wheel appears when each game ends. Users can watch a video ad to spin the wheel for free, or can pay one premium currency to access the wheel instantly. The wheel offers a single reel, and can reward players with coins, the game's power-ups (like magnet boosts) and more. As the name suggests, the wheel also allows players to pick back up in their current game with a second life.
"Our goal has always been to sync Temple Run 2 to the cloud. This new cloud integration, coupled with Temple Run 2 game updates, helps fans have longer and even more action-packed gameplay on a variety of devices," says CEO and Founder of Imangi, Keith Shepherd.
Temple Run 2 is available to download for free on iOS, Google Play and the Windows Phone Store.
