God of Light is a physics-based puzzle game. And this may be the first game to use mirrors to bounce light around in order to illuminate an area. Now you may be thinking why would I may such a boring physics-based game? Well believe it or not God of Light is not a boring physics game, it is actually a pretty simple game to play, and it is not just about directing light to an endpoint, its about which one mirror will lead you to the endpoint?
God of Light gives the player opportunities to find their way to an endpoint. You will have mirrors that will tilt or slide you will have a clue mechanic where you have to illuminate fireflies which you can then bring on screen to give you a tantalisingly brief glimpse of the solution, if you happen to get stuck in an area. And if you do get stuck a lot and you use a lot of fireflies, you can also pay real money for them, but that would be considered cheating, and you are not a cheater right?
God of Light does have a story to it. You are a star named Shiny, who spills rays across the darkness, and tries to bring light into the world. Shiny's powers can only be effective if his light is reflected off different mirrors that are hidden from plain view. To successfully complete each level, Shiny must use the reflected angles of his light to find a hub, which is named the Source of Life, that will send him off into daunting section of pitch black terrain.
The game's graphics are nice, and the game is cute, but I can't help that the game feels almost too easy and short, I feel that the developer should have added more to the game, to make things at least more challenging. God of Light is free for download at the Google Play Store.
