So the story of this game is about four ordinary humans have been granted superpowers, due to a meteor that crash into the earth, and shattered on impact. And now each of the four superheroes have their own unique superpower.
Team Awesome, is an endless runner game, that is unique and the game manages to separate itself from other endless runners, such as Temple Run, Subway Surfers, and Pac-Man Dash. And the game uses super-heroes for characters, giving the game its own unique personality.
The objective of this game is to finish the level (called episodes) successfully by completing the three different challenges that are given every level. And you have to do this before your "Awesonium" meter runs out. And if it runs out, you'll be forced to start the level again in order to progress to the next level. The types of challenges that you will have to complete are different most of the times you will have to collect coins, times you will have to knock over bad guys, or help the old grannies by punching them back onto their yard.
The game does have very simple controls. Your superhero will run automatically, and all you have to do is touch the screen on your Android device. If you want them to jump just tap on the screen, and if you want them to fly just keep holding your finger on the screen. Just be careful not to fly the whole time, because you will deplete your awesome meter quickly. And of course your hero can run through walls, fires, fall from the sky, and even get hit by cars, trucks, and trains too.
The game does have cute superhero humor, and most of the time is very funny. When you first start the game you will hear the narrators voice through a comic book style cut scene. And if you listen carefully you will notice the voice of the narrator is Jon St. John (aka Duke Nukem)
There are loads of unlockable content and upgradeable powers. The other superheroes range from 5,000 to an insane 50,000 coins To put this in perspective, you also have to purchase each new episode, something you can easily do with the coins earned in-game, but if you want anything extra you'll either have to grind for it or spend some real-world bucks. You can also spend your coins to refill the Awesonium meter if you want to continue playing a level, but are about to run out of energy.
